First cocktail bar to open in Cognac in 2012, Le Louise was originally nestled in the François Premier Resort.
It moved in its own premises with an independent access just a few steps further in summer 2017. It offers a chic and relaxing ambiance, with urban and contemporary interior design pieces. A new menu is regularly worked up, always making it very creative with a wide offer spotlighting the cognac, local spirits, fresh and home-made ingredients. It also includes some wine references and a food menu designed in collaboration with a local Star Chef, Thierry Verrat.
The François Premier Resort, as a main partner, assigned the Bar Louise reopening and bar management to Konoisseur.
Bar interior design
Konoisseur was untrusted with the overall thinking on the interior design and creation of Bar Louise unique universe. From the herringbone bar top that keeps bartenders and consumers on the same level, to the wall of spirit bottles that can fit more than 400 references, or the choice of color painting and furniture.
Connected to the building it sits in, the decoration was carefully selected to offer the expected level of elegance, with a blue echoing royalty, yet keeping a contemporary spirit.
CREATION OF A UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE
Opening the bar to all was very important to us, hence why we set up friendly times to share what we like: private workshops, barber shop evenings with an ephemeral corner, acoustic concerts…
The conviviality also goes through the creation of a food menu that includes the traditional boards of cheese and charcuterie but also a squid risotto, mozzarella, foie gras, organic egg with bacon, caviar from Gensac…
The introduction of a brunch is also a great success for us.
Konoisseur was of course untrusted with the creation of different cocktail menus and clearly displayed its philosophy: highlight the exceptional local spirits, home made products sometimes fairly unusual (freshly squeezed juices, syrups, infusions, cocktails cooked under vacuum…). All carefully served in a refined glassware by a young and creative team of bartenders.
The Team prepares original creation or revisits classics. We also wished to play an educational role to present an impressive collection of cognacs that can be tasted per centilitre.
